Friedrich Vorwerk's subsidiary 5C-Tech won the welding contract for the second line of the Beineu-Bozoy-Shymkent (BBS-2) gas pipeline — one of Central Asia's most strategic energy projects. Scope: ~1,450 km pipeline, 42-inch diameter, 28,000+ weld joints in ~8 months, doubling capacity from 15 to 30 bcm/year (boosting gas exports to China). Core tech: proprietary PX-II dual-torch automated welding with real-time, fully automatic parameter adjustment via sensors + AI algorithms. Follows their first international deployment in northern Iraq (2025) — a clear growth signal for automated pipeline welding vendors.
